1982 Jeep CJ8
In January 02' my Advanced Frame Works frame arrives.

I paint the frame with Rustoleum
"hammered" finish and begin the restoration.

I add the stock axles and use OME front
springs and stock CJ rear springs.

I made a custom shackle hanger for the
2.5" springs. This moves the shackle forward 1" but uses the original
mounting holes.

Here is the tub on the old frame and then
when it is swapped to the new frame.

I had to do plenty of drilling and tapping
for the shock mount holes, shackle hangers, steering box brace, motor mounts, tranny crossmember, gas tank and
at to drill out 4 of the body mounts in order to fit the body mount bushings.
Just about everything that bolted to this frame had to be "worked" in
some way.
