1983 Jeep CJ7
When
installing the SOA I used bolt on spring perches from Lou Fegers
( http://www.loufegersracing.com/ ) just in case I
had to adjust the pinion angle in the rear later on. The front perches were
already welded prior to the SOA install on the front 44. When converting the
front springs to YJ springs, we ground out the rivets on the frame below the
front crossmember and welded the crossmember
to re-enforce it. Here Rob is grinding the rivet out after we removed the front
Dana 30.

Here is the weld on the crossmember, the bolt installed where the rivet was located and the Tomken rear (2.5") CJ spring hanger in place.

Here we have the front Dana 44 bolted in.

And here with the tires. As you can
see the camber is off with the top of the tires out about 2 degrees out. I used
upper ball joint shims to even out the camber at 0 degrees.

Here
are some finished shots.
